We are a small, rural congregation with a long history. We can trace our beginnings to the earliest days of the settlement. We have been well served by strong and faithful ministry, having a collection of saints in the ministers, elders, councilors and members who have gone before us. We are situated in the middle of the town and many, many people, young, old and in-between walk, ride and drive past us every day and even more on weekends.  We have a strong connection to the community through a variety of clubs, workplaces and groups where our members have positions of responsibility and connection, and so we are busy and our time and energies are divided. We care about and for the community; this is expressed through our belonging to groups and our founding and ongoing commitment to HICCI. There is an openness to change but we’re scared and a little tired because we’re ageing and have a limited capacity to support new projects with our time and expertise, yet we have rich resources at our disposal including property and faithful people.
