After the Voice, Treaty, Truth banner unfurling on Sunday 15 December 2019, the congregation and visitors were treated to a lovely meal that had been prepared by the Youth at Healesville Uniting Church.
Each year, the Youth raise funds for a cause or charity of their choice. One of the many community services that is provided by HICCI is to prepare and arrange for gifts to teenage children at Christmas time. The Youth decided that it will be a good idea to raise money that can help HICCI for this service.
The Youth spent time on cooking the food, preparing bread, rolls and salads for the meal. They served the main meal to our guests and this was followed with a serving of ice cream and cake for dessert. We also celebrated the birthday of one of the Youth and so there was extra cake available!
People were invited to contribute to the meal as a donation for this fund raiser
